Why? Just Why?
I’ve always been obsessed with productivity despite college making that ever harder. I live by my google calendar and self help books, the key reason I no longer rage quit in Monopoly. During my productivity deep dives, I came across Ali Abdaal’s YouTube channel on which he posts videos about study tips and note-taking strategies. After coming across his extensive collection of book notes, I decided to give my own notes a try.
Methodology
-
Summarize
As I read through any books, I take notes on important points while compiling helpful examples. I mainly just read finance and productivity books because they are typically easier to summarize.
-
Condense
I review over my notes to make sure they don’t seem like a neanderthal wrote them. Additionally, I create relevant applications of the books’ key principles for people to implement in their lives.
-
Publicize
I use Notion to publish my book notes. Beyond my book notes, my entire life is basically on Notion and its saved me from many potentially overdue assignments so highly recommend it (not sponsored).
